Physical Fitness Program
The Physical Fitness Program is designed to expose youth to a variety of fitness skills and activities. We also encourage youth to maximize their self-esteem and self confidence. We emphasize maintaining a healthy lifestyle through good nutrition and diet programs.
The program is adminstered by Mark Robinson, a physical education teacher with 20 years of experience. Mr. Robinson is a graduate of Wayne Memorial High School where he recieved all state honors in basketball. He later attended Saginaw Valley State University on a basketball scholorship and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education.
Mr. Robinson began his teaching career with Romulus Community Schools where he worked from 1998 until 2003. During his time with the Romulus school district, Mr. Robinson also served as head coach of the boys basketball team at Romulus Community High School. While serving as head coach he took the team to the Michigan Community High School state basketball championship game in 2001 and returned the next year to win the title in 2002. Mr. Robinson currently serves as a K-12 physical education teacher and girls basketball and volleyball coach in the Detroit school district.
